I understand and agree that the sole purpose of this program is to help reduce the improper installation and use of child safety seats and that this inspection and demonstration is being provided as a free service to me. I realize that the event sponsors and certified child passenger safety technicians inspecting the seat cannot fully evaluate
the quality, safety, or condition of my child safety seat or the vehicle seat, safety belts, or any component of the vehicle now or in the future. Furthermore, I understand
that the actions taken in this program will not guarantee my child’s safety in a motor vehicle crash. I understand that a properly used child safety seat can prevent about
70% of vehicle-related injuries and fatalities among children and that it is important to read and follow both the vehicle and child safety seat instruction manuals. I
hereby release any program sponsors and technicians, the State of Maryland, including but not limited to any State agency, employee, volunteers, and representative, as
well as any State political subdivision its employees, volunteers, and representatives from any alleged liability including any bodily injury or damage in any way related to,
or, that occurred as a result of the child safety seat inspection.
